Sarasota Opera Guild’s objectives are to:

  1. Promote and increase the appreciation for opera in the community in conjunction with the Sarasota Opera Association;
  2. Encourage and assist young singers;
  3. Sponsor projects to raise funds for the Sarasota Opera.

General Meetings - Social and Singers

All are invited to attend these social gatherings to learn more about the Guild and Sarasota Opera. The Social and Singers are generally held on the third Tuesday of the month (starting in September) at Church of the Redeemer, 222 S Palm Avenue, Sarasota, FL. Reception with refreshments starts at 10 AM, followed by a short business meeting, and concludes with a special performance by Sarasota Opera singers (except for September which will highlight the Youth Opera). Free.

Opera Prologues

Opera Prologues provide insightful background on the season's Sarasota Opera performances. The Prologues are held on Monday evenings at 7:00 pm at Church of the Redeemer, 222 S Palm Avenue, Sarasota, FL. Donation for each session is $20, which includes wine and appetizers following the program.
